Heavy rain could wash out Par 3 Contest

AUGUSTA, Ga. The good news is that its not scheduled to rain at all during the four days of competition at the Masters. However, Wednesday is supposed to be nasty and, if forecasts hold, the feel-good Par 3 Contest could be in danger.According to weather.com, the percentage chance of thunderstorms never dips below 70 percent between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. ET. It drops to 35 percent at 5 p.m. The Par 3 Contest is scheduled to begin at noon.



The opening two rounds could provide quite a challenge as winds over 20 mph are expected both days. The low on Thursday is 48 degrees and on Friday its 42 degrees.Wind will die down over the weekend where the high temperature is 71 degrees on Saturday and up to 77 degrees during Sundays final round.
